The NFL have reportedly been involved in a legal wrangling with singer M.I.A since she made an offensive gesture during the 2012 Super Bowl half-time show.
The English singer, who is half Sri Lankan, lifted her middle finger and said "I don't give a shit" during her performance of 'Give Me All Your Luvin', prompting organisers to apologise.
It has since emerged that the NFL are reportedly seeking just over £935,000 from the singer as well as a public apology, but according to the The Hollywood Reporter, M.I.A (real name Mathangi Arulpragasam) is planning to launch a "public war" on the league.
M.I.A's lawyer Howard King told the publication: "She is going to go public with an explanation of how ridiculous it was for the NFL and its fans to devote such furor to this incident, while ignoring the genocide occurring in her home country and several other countries - topics she frequently speaks to."
The singer shared her set at the Super Bowl with Madonna last year.
