Former footballer Robbie Savage has revealed that he wants to build a petrol station in the village of Trimsaran near Llanelli, West Wales.
The 39-year-old believes that he will be "helping the community" by giving motorists in the village a local garage to fill up their vehicles with fuel.
Savage, who has applied for planning permission, is targeting drivers visiting the nearby Ffos Las Racecourse.
"You haven't got a petrol station or a convenience store or anything like that in Trimsaran," the Daily Mail quotes Savage as saying.
"There are up to a thousand cars there sometimes due to race days and a lot of people have to go all the way back into Llanelli to get petrol.
"It is all about helping the community. At the end of the day we could have gone for houses, but there is no fuel there and no convenience store so we have gone for that."
Reports have claimed that Savage is also planning to build a hotel, a restaurant and a football academy in the area.
