Sacramento Kings to become first club to stream via Google Glass

The Sacramento Kings announce that they will become the first sports team to stream live views via Google Glass during home NBA games.

The Sacramento Kings have announced that they will become the first professional sports team to stream views live via Google Glass.

The NBA club have joined forces with software company CrownOptic to stream live during home fixtures on the jumbotron inside the Sleep Train Arena.

The system will allow fans to get closer to courtside action through the eyes of sideline reporters, Kings dancers and others streaming their views from Google Glass.

Kings president Chris Granger said: "Fans could simply aim their smart devices to inherit someone else's Google Glass view, or evaluate concessions lines. It is just a matter of time before Google Glass is an integral part of the fan experience of watching live sports. We are very excited about the many future possibilities working with CrowdOptic."

The first broadcast will be streamed during the Kings' clash against the Indiana Pacers on January 24 on home turf.
