The NFL has announced that Coldplay will headline the half-time show at Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium.
The British band has enjoyed great success across the world after forming in 1996, winning eight Brit Awards and seven Grammys.
The band's single 'Viva la Vida' earned number one spot in the UK and US charts, while Coldplay's last four albums have reached number one in both countries.
Coldplay will follow in the footsteps of Katy Perry and Bruno Mars, who have performed in the 30-minute interval in recent years.
