Grand National-winning jockey Liam Treadwell faces a spell on the sidelines after he cracked a collarbone at Aintree on Friday.

Treadwell fell from Regal D'Estruval at the ninth fence of the Topham Chase and tweeted news of his injury last night.

"Cracked Collarbone. Now wait until 8.45 for morphine to ease (pain) b4 home," he wrote.

The rider won the 2009 National aboard 100-1 shot Mon Mome, but was due to be in action at Chepstow, instead of Aintree, this afternoon.
