Shaun Murphy produces a storming comeback to record a 10-7 victory over Kyren Wilson to win the Tour Championship.

Shaun Murphy has overturned a significant early deficit to win the Tour Championship with a 10-7 victory over Kyren Wilson.

Murphy claimed all but three of the final 13 frames to win the tournament for the first time, setting himself up perfectly for the upcoming World Snooker Championships.

Wilson opened the final in quite stunning fashion, taking the opening four frames with breaks of 108, 84, 62 and 111 respectively.

However, Murphy's class shone through after the interval, a 75 break initially stopping the rot before he went on to take the following three frames.

To Wilson's credit, he returned in the evening session to open up with a frame-winning 59 break, yet it failed to unnerve Murphy who responded in kind with a masterful 131.

Although Wilson bounced back to take the 11th, it represented the last time that he was ahead in the final as Murphy's superior experience began to prove decisive.

For the second time in the contest, Murphy sealed a frame on the black, before a second century of the match moved him to within two frames of victory.

While Wilson halved the deficit, Murphy replied with a 95 break to go 9-7 in front, and the 40-year-old was able to get over the line in the next frame.
