Mark Selby has won the UK Snooker Championship 2012 with victory over Shaun Murphy in the final.
The world number one won the final 10-6 in what was the first time since 1992 that two Englishmen contested the right to become the UK Snooker Champion.
Selby and Murphy headed into the evening session levelled at 4-4 after the first session in York.
However, the 29-year-old emerged the stronger of the two players in a tightly-contested match and eventually got the better of his compatriot.
Selby went 6-5 ahead in the evening before Murphy made it 6-6, only for the former to clinch four frames in a row to win the final.
The victory sees Selby pocket a prize money of £125,000.
