USA clinch seventh in men's water polo

The United States come from behind to claim a 10-6 win over Australia in the seventh-place match in the men's water polo at the World Swimming Championshps.

The USA had to come from behind to secure a 10-6 win over Australia in the seventh-place match in the men's water polo competition at the World Swimming Championships in Russia.

Australia opened up a 3-2 lead by the end of the first quarter, with Aaron Younger among those scoring an early goal, but the Americans were just ahead midway through the contest.

The United States took control of the match in the third quarter, with Tony Azevedo leading the charge as they took the period 4-1, leaving them four points up going into the final quarter.

Australia battled hard to try to get back into the clash, but Azevedo finished the game with four goals to make sure America took the win.
