Austria's gold medal-winning skier Anna Fenninger has said that her win in the Sochi women's super-G event gave her the "best day" of her life.
The 24-year-old, who finished in 16th place four years ago at the Vancouver Games, secured first place at the Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort with a time of one minute 25.52 seconds.
"For me, it is a big dream come true, it's the best day of my life," Fenninger told BBC Sport/
"The key was the last section to the finish. I have to thank my coaches because they gave us the right input on the radio."
A total of 18 out of 49 skiers, including eight of the first 11, failed to make it down the 2.2km course.
