Sweden retain cross country gold

Sweden retain their men's cross country 4x10km relay gold medal after crossing the line 27.3 seconds ahead of Russia.

Sweden have retained their gold medal in the men's cross country 4X10km relay by winning a race that also saw France take their first-ever medal in the event.

Marcus Hellner, Lars Nelson, Johan Olsson and Daniel Richardson led the race from start to finish, completing the course in a time of 1:28:42 at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Silver was awarded to Russian Federation, while bronze went to France's quartet of skiers, who made history of their own.

Sweden's anchor Hellner, who started the final leg with a 14-second lead over Maxim Vylegzhanin of Russia, crossed the line by a winning margin of 27.3 seconds.
