Jack Whelbourne of Great Britain crashes out of the short track speed skating men's 1500m final in Sochi, as Charles Hamelin of Canada goes on to win gold.

Great Britain's Jack Whelbourne crashed out of the short track speed skating men's 1500m final at the 2014 Winter Olympics, as Charles Hamelin of Canada went on to win gold.

Han Tianyu of China took the silver medal, while Victor Ahn of Russia claimed bronze.

Whelbourne was placed marginally behind the front three for the majority of the race, but was sent crashing into the boards at the edge of the track with two laps remaining.

The 22-year-old is also due to compete in the 500m and 1000m distances.
