Emily Cook ends Olympic career

American freestyle skier Emily Cook says that the Sochi Games are her last Winter Olympics.

American freestyle skier Emily Cook has said that she will not compete in the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The 34-year-old finished eighth in the women's aerials event at the ongoing Sochi Games on Friday.

"The biggest emotion is definitely happiness," the Los Angeles Times quotes her as saying.

"It's been an incredible career, so many ups and downs. Honestly, it's been no stone left unturned.

"This is definitely the last Olympics. I am 34 years old. There's a whole lot more life to live."

Cook represented the USA at the 2010 Vancouver Games and at the Turin Olympics in 2006.
