Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has revealed that running back Rashard Mendenhall is fit to start the season.
The former Pittsburgh Steelers man sustained a knee injury in pre-season but has shaken the knock off in time for his side's opener.
"I did not let him go today, but he's more than ready," Arians told the team's official website. "And Ryan [Williams] is full speed, so we're fully healthy at running back."
The Cardinals open their campaign against the St Louis Rams on Sunday.
