Rex Ryan: 'I'm optimistic on LeSean McCoy injury'

Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan insists that he is confident that LeSean McCoy will be fit for their season opener next month.

Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan has insisted that he is "cautiously optimistic" that running back LeSean McCoy will return in time for the season opener.

The Bills face the Indianapolis Colts on September 13 to get their season underway.

McCoy suffered a hamstring injury in joint practice on Tuesday with the Cleveland Browns, and Ryan refused to tell reporters the results of an MRI scan.

However, he later revealed to them after practice that the hamstring was intact and that no separation from the bone had occurred, which give him confidence that McCoy can recover in time.
