The Chicago Bears have announced that they have hired Marc Trestman as their new head coach.
The Bears have been searching for a new coach since firing Lovie Smith at the end of the regular season, which saw them finish third in the NFC North.
Trestman has coached Canadian Football League team Montreal Alouettes since 2008, winning 64 games and losing 34.
The 57-year-old was previously an offensive coordinator with the San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders.
