Mayor Rahm Emanuel wants Chicago to host Draft, Super Bowl

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says that he would like to see the city host the Super Bowl and the NFL Draft in the future.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has said that he would like to see the city host the Super Bowl and the NFL Draft.

A number of cold-weather cities have recently expressed an interest in hosting the Super Bowl, after the weather had little effect on last weekend's event in New York and New Jersey.

Emanuel told the Chicago Tribune: "I would say that there are two things in pro football I would love to see in Chicago, either one of them or both, the NFL Draft and the Super Bowl.

"They have different advantages for the city given that we have neither one, both would be great attractions for the city to bring national attention. We'll work on both."

The NFL Draft has been held in New York's Radio City Music Hall since 2006.
