Barcelona will face Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey, while Real Sociedad will tackle Real Madrid.

Barcelona will face Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey, while Real Sociedad will tackle Real Madrid.

Atletico were the first team to book their spot in the final four of the 2024-25 competition, recording a 5-0 victory over Getafe, while Real Madrid advanced courtesy of a 3-2 success over Leganes.

Real Sociedad became the third team to secure a spot in the semi-finals with a 2-0 success over Osasuna, before Barcelona completed the semi-final line-up by recording a 5-0 victory over Valencia.

The first leg of Barcelona's clash with Atletico will take place at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys, before the return fixture at Wanda Metropolitano, and it is set to be a fascinating battle between the two La Liga giants.

Real Madrid's first leg with Real Sociedad will be at Reale Arena, meanwhile, with the second leg at Bernabeu.

The first legs will take place in the final week of February, with the return matches more than a month later at the start of April.

Real Madrid, Atletico and Barcelona are involved in a race for the La Liga title this season, while all three are still active in the Champions League.

Real Sociedad, meanwhile, are currently preparing to face FC Midtjylland in the Europa League knockout round playoffs.

Barcelona are the most successful side in the history of the competition, lifting the trophy on 31 occasions, with their last success coming in 2020-21, while Real Madrid have won it 20 times, including in 2022-23.

Atletico are the fourth-most successful team in the Copa del Rey with 10 trophies, but they have not won it since 2012-13, while Real Sociedad have lifted the trophy twice, including in 2019-20.
