The Dallas Cowboys lead at the break in their NFL clash with the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field.
The Cowboys had an excellent start to the game as Michael Spurlock reeled off a 62-yard punt return to put his team inside the five-yard line and Tony Romo handed off to DeMarco Murray, who powered into the endzone.
Washington hit back as a punt put the Cowboys at the one and Romo could not get a first down, which left the Redskins a short field and Kirk Cousins moved his side into field-goal range to allow Kai Forbath to fire over from 36 yards.
The Redskins could not punch the ball into the endzone when inside the 10 and were forced to settle for a 22-yard from Forbath.
On their next drive the Cowboys punished their lack of potency as Romo evaded the rush and found Dez Bryant for a 14-yard touchdown to extend their lead to eight points at the break.
