Green Bay Packers edge past Dallas Cowboys

The Green Bay Packers edge past the Dallas Cowboys for a narrow win in the NFL.

The Green Bay Packers have beaten the Dallas Cowboys 37-36 in their NFL match.

The Packers arrived at the AT&T Stadium with a 6-6 record, while the Cowboys started the match 7-6.

It was Dallas who got the first points on the board, as Dan Bailey opened their account with a 43-yard field goal through the posts.

The Packers responded as Mason Crosby levelled the score, kicking well from 57 yards for 3-3. Dallas, eager not to be outdone, continued the theme with another field goal, with Bailey again finding success from 23 yards.

The Cowboys then extended their advantage with the first touchdown. Tony Romo found Jason Witten from 25 yards and it was 13-3 at the end of the first quarter.

Into the second quarter and Jason Garrett's men continued to cause their opponents trouble, with Bailey hitting two further field goals from 43 and 50 yards.

It got even better for the Cowboys before the break as Demarco Murray went over for their second touchdown and a 26-3 lead.

Jordy Nelson made inroads on that advantage in the third quarter and although a Bailey field goal took Dallas to 29, Andrew Quarless finished the quarter with a touchdown for the Packers after Flynn's three-yard pass.

James Starks continued the Packers' resurgence, and despite Dez Bryant finding the endzone for the Cowboys, James Jones and Eddie Lacy struck to secure the narrowest of victories.
