Stephen Jones confident of Tony Romo form

Dallas Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones is adamant that Tony Romo will not suffer from a drop of form in the 2014 season, despite his injury struggles.

Dallas Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones has insisted that he has no concerns over the age of quarterback Tony Romo.

The 34-year-old sustained a back injury towards the end of the 2013 campaign that required surgery in the off-season, but Jones is confident that his quarterback's play will remain at a high standard for the near future.

He told reporters: "I know Tony and I know he only gets better with age in terms of what kind of quarterback he's going to be.

"He had one of his best years ever last year. And I expect him to improve upon that."

Dallas face the San Francisco 49ers in their season opener on September 7.
