Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush has been ruled out of Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears due to his on-going ankle problem.
Bush will miss his third straight game and four of the past five contests with the issue, with Thursday's game reportedly his target date to make a return.
However, his ankle has failed to heal as hoped by the Lions and they will therefore sit him against their divisional rivals, according to NFL.com.
Bush has appeared in seven games so far this season but he has gone over 50 yards on the ground just once and has only one touchdown.
In his absence, the Lions will lean on back-up star Joique Bell as they look to improve on their 7-4 record so far this season.
