Calvin Johnson, Golden Tate practise for Detroit Lions

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson hopes to feature against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday along with teammate Golden Tate after recovering from injury.

The Detroit Lions could be set for a double fitness boost ahead of Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, with Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate returning to practice.

While Johnson has been suffering from a niggling ankle injury, Tate sustained a hamstring strain. However, both practised on Friday with coach Jim Caldwell hopeful that they will feature.

Johnson missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday, and was very limited against the New York Jets last week as he was forced to play a decoy role.

However, the 29-year-old practised, ran with the first team and ran all the routes in a bid to prove his fitness and feature against the Bills.

The Lions currently top the NFC North with a 3-1 record, with the Green Bay Packers trailing at 3-2 while the Chicago Bears are further adrift at 2-2.
