Charles Woodson has confirmed that he would be open to signing for the Detroit Lions if the team offered him enough money.
The 2009 NFL defensive player of the year has been a free agent since being released by the Green Bay Packers earlier this year.
The 36-year-old told the Detroit Free Press: "Here's the thing about the Lions: The Lions have players. They just haven't been able to put it together.
"Would I be open to playing [for them]? No question. But the dollars have to make sense, too.
"I thought I would have been signed by now. You do have to be patient, but there is some frustration even though I am not the first nor will I be the last guy to go through this. I feel confident I'll be playing somewhere next season. I'm feeling great, and I'm ready to roll."
Woodson met with the Denver Broncos last week and has also drawn interest from the Oakland Raiders, Carolina Panthers and New York Giants.
