Green Bay Packers wideout Randall Cobb off crutches

Randall Cobb says that there is "no return date" as yet, despite coming off of crutches following a leg injury.

Randall Cobb is no longer using crutches as he bids to make his return from injury.

The Green Bay Packers wide receiver suffered a leg problem during their win over the Baltimore Ravens six weeks ago, though coach Mike McCarthy quickly moved to deny that Cobb would miss the remainder of the campaign.

Cobb spoke for the first time since sustaining his injury, telling Packers.com: "I can't make a call right now (on a return date). Right now, today, I cannot play. But I'm doing everything I can.

"I'm working my butt off in the rehab process, but this is something that needs time. It's getting better. There's still no timeline on when I can come back."

Before his injury, Cobb had 29 catches for 378 yards this season, scoring two touchdowns.
