Aaron Rodgers has said that he has felt "a little bit rusty" while practising with the Green Bay Packers this week.
The quarterback is pushing to prove his fitness ahead of this weekend's game against the Dallas Cowboys, having missed the last five outings with a broken collarbone.
The 30-year-old told the team's website: "I felt a little bit rusty yesterday. Took a little bit more as far as reps today and felt better. I felt I was moving well. I felt rested, my legs do. I've been able to do more in the weight room.
"But I felt better out there. Throwing it well, but there's a lot that goes into it, from the ground up, legs, being in the right position, footwork and stuff. Today was a better day.
"If I'm going to play Sunday, I'm going to need to take the majority of the reps tomorrow."
Rodgers has 2,218 passing yards and 15 touchdowns this season.
