Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck was selected by Deion Sanders as his first choice during Wednesday's Pro Bowl draft.
Luck was a number one pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, and he repeated the trick when Hall of Famer Sanders opted to choose him over everyone else in Hawaii.
Houston Texans defensive lineman JJ Watt and Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles were selected captains of Sanders' team prior to the draft, while opponent Jerry Rice picked New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and St Louis Rams defensive end Robert Quinn as his leaders.
Though usually a game between the cream of the crop from both the NFC and AFC, the draft format was introduced this year by the NFL, who are trying to freshen up the season-ending game.
Following the choice of Luck for Team Sanders, Team Rice selected Brees's Saints teammate and tight end Jimmy Graham with their number one choice.
Other notable selections by Sanders included Cam Newton (QB, Carolina Panthers), Eddie Lacy (RB, Green Bay Packers), AJ Green (WR, Cincinnati Bengals), Dez Bryant (WR, Dallas Cowboys), Ndamukong Suh (DT, Detroit Lions) and Patrick Peterson (CB, Arizona Cardinals).
Rice chose the likes of LeSean McCoy (RB, Philadelphia Eagles), Brandon Marshall (WR, Chicago Bears), Josh Gordon (WR, Cleveland Browns), Robert Mathis (OLB, Indianapolis Colts) and Joe Haden (CB, Cleveland Browns) for his outfit.
