Indianapolis Colts running back Trent Richardson has admitted that he sees himself as his team's first-round Draft pick for 2014.
The Colts gave up their first-round choice when they acquired Richardson from the Cleveland Browns last September, meaning that they won't get a pick until 59th overall when the NFL Draft takes place next month.
Richardson endured a disappointing season following his switch, rushing for just 458 yards in 14 appearances before losing his starting job to Donald Brown with three weeks of the season remaining.
He told ESPN: "I think we do have a first-round pick - and that's me. The Colts spent their money on me in the first round. No pressure toward proving to everybody else, just proving to me that I can be the best.
"Having watched the tapes, I didn't do as bad as I thought last year. I'm ready."
Richardson averaged just 2.9 yards per carry after he joined the Colts, scoring just three touchdowns.
He enjoyed an excellent rookie campaign as a Brown in 2012, scoring 11 touchdowns and rushing for just shy of 1,000 yards.
