The Kansas City Chiefs have acquired veteran guard Mike McGlynn from the Washington Redskins.
McGlynn made 30 starts for the Indianapolis Colts during the past two seasons, and he will now battle with Branden Albert, Jon Asamoah and Geoff Schwartz for a place in the Chiefs lineup.
Starting right tackle Donald Stephenson was suspended by the NFL for the first four games of the season, meaning that McGlynn may also fill in for him.
The Redskins released McGlynn after just four months on their books during pre-season.
