Minnesota Vikings coach Leslie Frazier has said that Adrian Peterson will start for the team on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Peterson missed the Vikings' win over the Philadelphia Eagles last weekend with a groin injury, and his replacement Matt Asiata scored three touchdowns to help the team secure the victory.
However, Frazier told reporters that Peterson was not in danger of losing his place despite Asiata's three-score game.
Frazier told reporters: "In the running back position, it's not a hard decision if Adrian Peterson is ready and fit. I would anticipate that he'll play with this week of rest behind him and his groin injury should be better because of that as well.
"I think that Adrian Peterson will be back on the field."
Peterson has rushed for 1,221 yards and 10 touchdowns so far this season.
