Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder has insisted that his side will learn from their 20-16 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Friday.
Ponder was part of an offense that struggled to trouble the Bills defense as the quarterback was sacked in the first play of the game and went on to make five of 12 passes for 53 yards.
However, Ponder believes that their next pre-season match against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday will be a more accurate representation of the Vikings' skills as they welcome back reigning NFL MVP Adrian Peterson to the side.
"There's a lot of things we're going to be able to learn from the tape, and I think next week in San Francisco is going to be the big barometer of where we are as a team," Ponder told The AP.
"I think the starters will play the first half and a little bit into the second half. So we'll learn from this one and move on to the next one."
The Vikings have lost their two pre-season games so far and will face the Tennessee Titans in their final warm-up match after the 49ers clash.
