Half-Time Report: New York Giants lead undefeated New England Patriots

The New York Giants have a 17-10 lead against Super Bowl champions the New England Patriots as they look to give the AFC East side their first loss of the season.

The New York Giants are on course to end the New England Patriots' unbeaten start to the season having taken a 17-10 lead into the halfway stage of their NFL clash at the MetLife Stadium this evening.

New England got off to a strong start as Tom Brady found Scott Chandler free in the endzone for a one-yard touchdown, which broke the NFL record with the Patriots scoring for 32 consecutive quarters.

The Giants replied immediately as Eli Manning connected with Odell Beckham Jr for an 87-yard touchdown, the second-longest pass of the season and the longest pass ever allowed by the Patriots in the Bill Belichick era.

Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski helped his team retake the lead in the second quarter after Brady was sacked on third down, but the 31-year-old made the 31-yard field goal.

Chandler Jones forced a fumble from Manning after a good drive, but the Patriots could not advance the ball and Josh Brown would kick a field goal on New York's next possession to tie the game at 10-10.

Manning led his team with a well-executed one-minute drill as a big play to Will Tye helped the Giants reach the one-yard line, before the quarterback found Dwayne Harris in the endzone to give the home side the lead at half time.
