Report: Danny Amendola won't require surgery

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola will reportedly not need surgery on a groin injury that hampered him during the 2013 season.

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola will not require surgery on his injured groin in the off-season, according to a report.

The 28-year-old sustained the injury in the first week of the season during his side's win over the Buffalo Bills and was initially ruled out for four weeks, but he then returned for the rest of the campaign.

According to earlier reports, Amendola was playing through the pain barrier and would have required surgery when the season ended, but MassLive.com now claims that he will not have to undergo an operation after a consultation with doctors.

The wide receiver had 54 receptions for 633 yards along with two touchdowns this campaign.
