New England Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib suffered no structural damage to his knee in his side's defeat in the AFC championship game, according to a report.

Talib was knocked out of the game in the second quarter when he was hit by Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker and didn't return as his side crashed to a 26-16 defeat.

However, the 27-year-old has been give some good news as the damage to his knee that he suffered during the game will not be long-lasting and he should be able to make a quick recovery, according to MassLive.com.

Talib is out of contract at the end of the league year.
