New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler has revealed that he knew what play was coming when he secured the game-winning interception for his team in the Super Bowl.
The 24-year-old made the pick on the goalline in the dying seconds of the game as he beat out Ricardo Lockette to the ball on a slant route to win the Vince Lombardi trophy for Bill Belichick's men.
Butler told reporters: "I knew what was going to happen. I don't know how I knew. I just knew. I just beat him to the point and caught the ball."
Butler joined the Patriots last year as undrafted free agent out of West Alabama.
