The New Orleans Saints have opened up a 28-10 lead against the Dallas Cowboys in front of a packed house at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Dan Bailey nailed a 37-yard field goal to give the Cowboys the advantage, but the home team were leading by the end of the first quarter, as Drew Brees fired down the middle for Marques Colston.
The Cowboys responded immediately in the second quarter, with DeMarco Murray rushing seven yards to establish a 10-7 advantage.
The Saints came back with Brees finding Pierre Thomas on swing pass on the five-yard line, and the 28-year-old running-back sprinted into the end zone.
Darren Sproles scored two touchdowns in two minutes to extend their cushion to 18 points before half time.
