New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has admitted that he let his side down in their defeat to the Detroit Lions.
The Saints held a 23-10 lead in the fourth quarter of their clash at Ford Field, but a touchdown from Golden Tate then brought the Lions back into the match.
Brees then threw a costly interception to Glover Quin to set up a late score for the Lions to allow Jim Caldwell's side to claim the victory.
He told reporters: "The worst feeling in professional sports is when you feel like you let your team down and that's how I feel right now."
The Saints are 2-4 in their season following their week seven defeat.
