The Atlanta Falcons have taken a narrow 13-10 lead into the break in a closely-fought game with the New York Giants at the MetLife Stadium this evening.
The Giants came close to scoring the first touchdown of the day when Eli Manning tried to find Rueben Randle, but the wide receiver could not get his feet in bounds.
The quarterback tried to same pass on the next play though, and this time Randle was awarded the points.
Matt Ryan completed a string of passes to Julio Jones to get the Falcons in a strong field position before Steve Jackson ran the ball in, leveling the scores for Atlanta.
After Matt Bryant added a field goal to put Atlanta ahead, Manning came back onto the field with the Giants offense, but the quarterback was sacked by former teammate Osi Umenyiora, leaving Josh Brown to kick and tie the game again.
Gains from Jones and Roddy White got the Falcons into another strong position in the final seconds of the half, but the latter could not get the touchdown, leaving Bryant to kick another field goal and leave Atlanta just ahead at the break.
