Hakeem Nicks has highlighted staying healthy and helping the New York Giants to win games among his targets for the upcoming season.
The wide receiver missed three games with foot and ankle injuries in 2012, while a groin complaint has limited him during the pre-season.
After making two 20-yard receptions during the 20-12 loss to the Indianapolis Colts last night, the 25-year-old told reporters: "That's my first preseason game, just trying to get in that groove to build myself up for week one.
"It's definitely motivation, but I'm a believer in I'm going to get whatever I can handle so I don't even worry about that. It's going to take care of itself. I just need to stay healthy, play football, win games and contribute to the team in the best way possible.
"I'm not worried about [heading into the final year of his contract]. I believe you should be paid off of production and that's what I'm aiming for. My production speaks for itself."
Nicks recorded 692 receiving yards and scored three touchdowns for the Giants last season.
