New York Giants earn fourth straight win

New York Giants make it four wins on the spin with a 27-13 victory over the Green Bay Packers.

A fourth successive victory has kept the New York Giants in contention for a playoff place in the NFL, maintaining their recent revival with a 27-13 success against the Green Bay Packers.

Tom Coughlin's side broke the deadlock with five minutes left in the first quarter, with Eli Manning finding Rueben Randle in the end zone after a strong drive towards goal by Brandon Jacobs.

Green Bay kept the score close in the second quarter as Mason Crosby connected with two field goals, the second of which cut the deficit to 10-6 with five seconds left in the first half.

After the break New York took complete control of the match, with Josh Brown's second field goal followed by a sustained drive upfield led by Manning and Victor Cruz.

Jacobs was on hand to make that move count with a score from close range, giving New York a 20-6 lead they never looked like surrendering.

The Packers did briefly make the match interesting late on when Eddie Lacy burst into the end zone in the fourth quarter, but Jason Pierre-Paul ended the match as a contest by scoring on a 24-yard interception return just two minutes later.
