New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has insisted that he has no problem entering the 2015 season in the final year of his contract with the club.
The 34-year-old has won the Super Bowl twice in his time with the NFC East side and performed well in the 2014 campaign, although Tom Coughlin's men missed out on the playoffs.
However, the Giants opted against handing Manning a new deal to leave him in a contract year for the 2015 campaign, but the quarterback is content to play out the season and assess the situation then.
"I've known a lot of people who have gone into their last year, my brother went into the last year of his contract twice, and that's just part of it," Manning told reporters.
"I look at it as, hey, I signed a six-year contract and I never once mentioned the contract to them or anything, or tried to get extended.
"I'm going to play out those six years and hopefully my play and the success of the team will dictate the future of me being in New York."
Manning threw for 4,410 yards and 30 touchdowns to 14 interceptions for the Giants last season.
