New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan has failed to rule out a move for safety Ed Reed.
Reed was released by the Houston Texans earlier this week, despite only joining the franchise in the off-season after winning the Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens.
When asked about adding Reed to his secondary, Ryan told the New York Daily News: "I would absolutely yes. I would like him on the team. But then I'd like to sign Ray Lewis, too."
Journalist Manish Mehta speculated via his Twitter account that Ryan had spoken to Jets general manager John Idzik about making a waiver claim for Reed.
