Matt Barkley has insisted that Tim Tebow will not be taking his reps during the Philadelphia Eagles' training camp.
The quarterback has been the NFC East side's third-string passer for the last two seasons, but is thought to be under pressure to earn his roster spot for the 2015 season following the arrival of the former Denver Broncos first-round Draft pick.
The 24-year-old told NJ.com: "He's not taking my reps on the field. He's an arm we need for the team, with GJ [Kinne] making the move to receiver.
"Tim's just one of us. He's trying to make the team just like we all are. It hasn't effected my approach to how I feel the team thinks of me or how I'm going out to compete every day."
The Eagles also have quarterbacks Mark Sanchez and Sam Bradford on their roster, although last season's starter, Nick Foles, left in a trade with the St Louis Rams.
