The Pittsburgh Steelers have confirmed the signing of free agent punter Zoltan Mesko.
The 27-year-old was released by the New England Patriots in a surprise cut on Saturday as the team chose rookie Ryan Allen over the veteran.
However, Mesko was not out of work for long as the Steelers were quick to add him to their roster as they released Drew Butler to make way for the former Michigan man.
Mesko was drafted 150th overall in the 2010 Draft by the Patriots.
