Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has admitted that his rivalry with San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree is unlikely to subside anytime soon.
The two players clashed during last season's NFC Championship game, when Sherman's tip intended for Crabtree was intercepted by Malcolm Smith, allowing the Seahawks to run out winners and reach the Super Bowl.
Post-match, Sherman labelled Crabtree a "sorry receiver", fuelling the fire before their clashes this season.
Sherman has insisted that their feud won't be easily forgotten, and told USA Today: "I hope to play Crabtree every year for the rest of my career and choke him out. There's not much else I can say about the subject.
"Nobody will understand it but him and me. And really, that's all that needs to be understood.
"It's much more than I don't like the dude. You know what I'm saying? And I think he's sorry. So it's really what it comes down to. It's just about him. It's just about Crabtree."
The Seahawks and the 49ers will meet in week 13 and week 15 next season as both teams bid to win the NFC West.
