The Seattle Seahawks secured the number one seed in the NFC with a comeback victory over the St Louis Rams.
Both sides struggled to move the ball on offense in the first quarter, but it was the Rams who managed to get on the scoreboard first as Greg Zuerlein fired a 33-yard field goal through the posts after a decent drive from their offense.
The Rams had an excellent chance to extend their lead when Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw an interception into the hands of Marcus Roberson, but Shaun Hill and his offense couldn't take advantage of their good field position.
Another mistake from Seattle allowed the Rams to add another three points as Alec Ogletree stripped the ball from Marshawn Lynch, and Zuerlein was on hand to kick a field goal from 52 yards.
The Seahawks got back into the game in the second half when Wilson got into passing rhythm, but his offense was held out of the endzone as Steven Hauschka was forced to kick a 42-yard field goal.

The home side continued to dominate on defense and Jordan Hill made a crucial play as he intercepted Shaun Hill and ran the ball back to midfield for his team.
Wilson took advantage as he drove his team further into Rams' territory before handing the ball off to Lynch, who powered through a hole in the defense and ran in for the nine-yard score.
The Seahawks took control of the game when Hill's pass to Lance Kendricks was wrestled away from the tight end by Bruce Irvin, who returned the ball to the endzone for a 49-yard score.
St Louis had the chance to pull within seven points late in the game when Benny Cunningham stretched for the endzone, but Earl Thomas produced an excellent play to knock the ball loose and earn a touchback for his side.
Pete Carroll's side's defense sacked Hill twice late in the game to prevent any comeback, sealing home-field advantage and a first-round bye in the playoffs.
