Ken Whisenhunt: 'I may have overestimated Tennessee Titans'

Tennessee Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt admits that he may have oversold his team during the off-season as they fell to their third defeat in a row in the 2014 campaign.

Tennessee Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt has admitted that he may have overestimated his side's ability to compete with the best teams in the NFL.

Whisenhunt joined the club in the off-season to replace Mike Munchak, and insisted that his side had the capabilities to challenge for a playoff berth.

However, despite an excellent start on the opening day against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Titans have sustained three heavy defeats in their last three outings, leaving Whisenhunt to question his earlier remarks.

He told reporters: "You know, I guess that's the problem saying those kind of things. You go on a stretch where you have a couple games and you don't play well, and those are the kind of things that, hey, I still believe that.

"I still believe we have a team that's good enough, that's better than what we are playing right now. But we have to look at what we are doing, how we are doing it. We have to look at everything. Maybe."

Tennessee are third in the AFC South with their 1-3 record.
