Robert Griffin III: "I'm ready to go"

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III reveals that he is ready to make his comeback from an ankle injury this weekend.

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has revealed that he is ready to make his comeback from injury against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

Griffin suffered a dislocated ankle in week two but coach Jay Gruden has insisted during his rehabilitation process that he remains the franchise's starting signal-caller.

"I'm ready to go, ready to play, get back out there with the guys and have fun. That's what it is," Griffin told reporters.

"God didn't put us on this earth to be normal. So I'm not going to go out there and try to be a normal quarterback. I'm going to go out there and be the quarterback he's called me to be."

Gruden remained coy when asked if Griffin will play with confidence in getting out of the pocket and making plays for his teammates.
