Lord Sebastian Coe has promised to look into Usain Bolt's claims that he was prevented from bringing a number of objects into the Olympic village.
Bolt, who broke his own Olympic record on his way to gold in the 100m last night, appeared annoyed at the number of rules at this summer's Games.
One of Bolt's claims was that he was stopped from bringing a skipping rope into the village, something that Coe has vowed to look at.
"I will look at this. I presume the skipping rope was a warm-up aid so I will look at that," said Lord Coe.
"I think some of it has been slightly lost in the translation. Every venue is different, there are different protocols. I have raced in pretty much most places and that's the nature of it.
"I think it was more a broad point about different protocols and I don't read too much into that."
Bolt fended off competition from the next three fastest men in history to become the first man since Carl Lewis to defend a 100m Olympic title.
