Triple-gold medallist David Weir has admitted that he "had to dig deep" to win his third gold of the London Games.
Weir, who had to overtake on the outside of the bend to power home, also praised the ParalympicsGB camp, which has now delivered 31 gold medals.
"That was hard work tonight," Weir said. "I had to dig deep. I've really got to thank [my wife] Emily at home for calming me and relaxing me. This one's for my kids tonight.
"Of course [I had doubts]. It's a strong field and you can't underestimate anyone. I knew I had to match Zhang Lixin's early speed.
"We're a good team. It's fantastic to be around. We're all mates, we all get along and it's a great experience."
Weir also took gold in the T54 1,500m and 5,000m earlier in the week.
