Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge has revealed that point guard Rajon Rondo is 'anxious' to return to action.
Rondo is continuing his recovery from a torn ACL, and is keen to gain some five-on-five playing time rather than stick to practice sessions.
"I don't want my first [game-like action] to be with the Celtics. I haven't had a pre-season. I haven't had a training camp. Right now, this is pretty much my training camp," Rondo told reporters.
Rondo travelled with the team to Chicago on Thursday night, but is adamant that he wants to be in a condition to perform well rather than disturb the rhythm of his teammates.
